Blueberry Picking ~

I took the kids down to visit my family for a few days during the summer.
Carlee and Nick and I enjoyed picking blueberries at the Evans Farm.
It was hot and at the end, the ended up throwing blueberries at me!
We had fun and we came home with lots of blueberries and very blue mouths!!!

I think they ate more than they put in their buckets.

They were so funny picking and eating all the blueberries. I think they forgot that they were suppose to be filling up their buckets.

MMmmmmm!!!!

Reaching high for the best berries!

Spinklers!!!!!!

My kids love hanging out at Barnett Park during the hot summer months, and playing in the water fountains. We usually meet friends there and make a morning of it.
Carlee and Camille getting cooled off in the water.

Nick loves the fountains! He and Camille enjoyed playing together in them!

She really had a good time!

More summertime fun . . .

Summer is definitely a favorite season of mine! I love the outdoors and so do the kids!

We spent a lot of time playing, swimming and going to parks. Oh, and eating watermelon is definitely one of my kids favorites too!

Camille tries so hard to do the things that big brother and big sister do!

I took this picture at a cookout that my neighbor had. Camille looks so much like her daddy! And of course he says, "lucky girl!"

Just Like A Big Girl . . .

In the past, I would ask Carlee if she would like to get her ears pierced. She would say, "No way it hurts!" All of a sudden, in July she started asking about getting her ears pierced. I just kinda brushed it off. Well, one week she kept asking and asking. I told her I would take her on Monday if she still wanted to get it done. That was the first thing she asked me about on Monday morning. I called around to find a place that would pierce both at the same time. We ended up going to Claire's in the mall. She took 'Cubbie' bear for extra support :). I told her that if we got there and she didn't feel ready then we could just come back home and try again another day.
We arrived and the lady told her everything she was going to do. Carlee sat there like a big girl and didn't even cry. She was so proud of her new earings!!! I was proud of her too! What a big girl! She just HAD to call daddy once we got back to the van.

Happy 4th of July!!!!!
For the past several years, we have celebrated the 4th with friends. Everyone brings fireworks and we watch them as we enjoy some yummy watermelon.
I had festive little 4th of july dresses made for the girls. They turned out so cute!
Our bucket of just some of the fireworks! Fun Fun!!!
I love buying the fun kiddie fireworks. Smokebombs are a MUST! The kids always love them!

Every other year, Nick has not been a big fan of fireworks and usually is so terrified of them that he asks to go to bed. This year, he wanted to be a part of the fun and enjoyed seeing them.
Sparkler fun!
My sweet friend, Cristina and I.

Cristina and Stacey and the kids enjoying fireworks.

Nick and Cristina enjoying some delicious watermelon! Mmmmm! I can't even tell you how many pieces Nick consumed that night.

Summer 2009 Happenings . . . June

It is hard to believe my little Millie turned 15 months in June. I have posted some pics that show how much she loves being and playing outside! She has such a personality!

We were all outside and I turned around for a minute and when I went back to check on Camille, I found her digging in the planter and black dirt was everywhere!

During the spring and summer, we enjoy taking evening walks together as a family. Camille enjoys riding in her stroller.
Below is her "uh-ohhhhhh" face. She kept throwing her hat and saying uh-oh. She drags out the "ohhhhhh" part!

The neighborhood kids were over enjoying some water fun with Carlee and Nick. Camille had to join in on the fun too! She loved the water!
Below is a sweet pic of Millie and her Giraffe that Grandma and Grandpa Yacoviello gave her.
Love my giraffe!

My Nee Nee and PaPa came up for a visit on Memorial Day. I always enjoy my special time with Nee Nee!
