Time to cook our homemade Christmas Sugar Cookies . . .

Christmas was only a few days away and the kids and I got out the cookie cutters and sack of flour- there's nothing like those yummy homemade Christmas Sugar Cookies! Mmmmmm!

We made two large batches of dough, so there were plenty of cookies! This year Nick loved helping cut out the cookies with the cookie cutters. Carlee did an awesome job at cutting them out and putting them on the pans.

Her favorite part though was mixing the powder sugar icing and icing the cookies.

After all the cooking was complete, we ended up with about 6 dozen cookies!

We gave some to friends and took the rest down to their NeeNee and Papa's.

***Christmas Eve~
This Christmas was a bit different because of the fact we were actually staying home! We did go down to Columbia for a few days, but we didn't go up to Pittsburgh. We really missed being with Dan's family on Christmas.

On Christmas Eve, the kids and I made finger foods (the pigs in a blanket were their favorite!) and then we went to look at Christmas lights.

Below is a picture of them sitting at their little decorated table.

. . : : : Merry Christmas!!! : : : . .
Our kids are funny . . . either they don't get Christmas yet (the fact that there are presents waiting down stairs for them) or they are not morning people! We had to get them up to come down stairs and open their gifts.
Each of them had their own pile to tear into.
Nicholas was very excited this year and understood Christmas a whole lot more than last year.

Nicholas just wanted trucks for Christmas!
He got a large truck that had box cars inside. He also got a race track from Grandma & pa Yacoviello that he LOVED! He also got a neat truck that makes lots of loud noises from his Nee Nee and Papa (mommy loves this one!) His big present from us was a work bench with tools.

Carlee was very excited about Christmas. She talked alot about Santa but I think she knew that he really didn't exist nor did he bring her presents.
Her list consisted of a doll cradle, a tinkerbell, and an alien maker.
She did get a Tinkerbell doll, and an alien maker (which she was thrilled about). She also got some books and puzzles and clothes. She got a really neat light up remote control car from her Grandma & Pa Yacoviello and a cradle from her NeeNee and Papa. Her big gift from us was the loving family doll house- she LOVES it!

YEAH! An alien maker!!!
. . . and Tinkerbell!!!

Camille's favorite part about Christmas was the paper! Fun stuff!!!
Her least favorite was seeing Santa! She took one look at how big he was and lost it!
She of course had no clue what was going on, but she did seem to like a lot of her gifts!
She got a Daisy Doll, and some baby chew toys as well as some clothes from us. She got a really neat little people set from Grandma & pa Yacoviello. Her Nee Nee and Papa gave her a tickle me Elmo . . . her response to him is quite funny!
Her big gift from us was a little house that plays music and talks.

Her little people set from Grandma & pa Yacoviello- so neat!
Yeah! Bath toys from Aunt Sarah and Uncle Rob!!!
I always enjoy buying little fun things for their stockings! From books to pj's and stickers. They like to get their stockings to see what I have tucked inside them!
Camille's first time checking out what is in her stocking . . .
Nick got some neat books and cars!

Carlee got her favorite- LIP GLOSS!!!!!
Dan did end up getting me a Steelers Jersey . . . PALAMALU.
I was very surprised!
Dan got clothes and his ESV study Bible that he had wanted.

We had a wonderful Christmas!!!!
